You can describe just how much is known about this game with two words "jack squat". It seems Factor 5 has locked it behind unbreakable doors for the longest time. A lot of people are even questioning if it is still in development. We'll find out one day, but for now, enjoy some VERY limited info on what is guranteed to be a great game. Thornado is the next game in the under rated shooting series Turrican (SNES), much like Contra. Thornado, however is a third person shooter, in which you play as a character named Thor, who has control over the wind and can use his powers to actually blow enemies away. That, along with an incredible MP3 (available on the developers site) is all we know about the game, sadly. A demonstration of the game was shown behind closed doors at Spaceworld 2000. The people who saw it say it was a small clip, about 15 seconds in length, which featured a character with long blonde hair and a trench-coat running across a bridge as cars blew up all around him. It was said that the detail on the character was amazing, his trench-coat flapping in the wind, and individualy animated fingers and limbs. the game has been in development/planning stages for at least 4 years. hopefully it won't be nearly as long until the game is blown wide open. I, for one am dying in anticipation. |
