Just wondering what you think on the planned boycott from the Fairplay campaign
http://www.fairplay-campaign.co.uk/
Will you take part in it?
Do you think it will make a difference?
Are videogames too expensive?
I know what I think...
Trevor Replies: Its not a bad idea but I have no problem paying
up to $70 for a game one it goes over that I usually refuse to buy it. I
understand developers need to get paid for their work but anything over $70 is
being a bit greedy.
Dan Replies: Videogames
are pretty damn costly. Over here in Canada, it’s a bit nuts at times. But I know
what I’m paying for. Games these days have huge budgets, they are no longer
made by one or two people in a basement. It’s a business. And an expensive
hobby.

Great site guys. This
isn't really a question about Nintendo, but I'm asking your opinion on
something. What do you think about:
1) Zelda's new Cel-Shaded look (I don't really like it, and not because it's
cartoony. I just don't like the character designs, they look very plain
to me.)
-and-
2) The fact that Rare have left Nintendo.
That's it.
Trevor Replies:
Thanks for the compliment; we try our best to make one of
the best Nintendo fan sites on the net.
As for Zelda I have to agree with you I am not really one
for cartoon’y graphics in games that are meant to be realistic. But it’s slowly
growing on me, I still would prefer realistic graphics but what can we do?
I let you in on a little secret I used to worship
Rareware I loved them, I was kind of mad when they left but its their choice, I
still respect them as a developer but I don’t like how they sold out to Xbox
just for the money it had nothing to do with making better games.
Dan Replies:
the “new” Zelda look is amazing. It
captures the look of the SNES version, but in awesome 3-D. It’s been debated to
death, so I’ll just say this: I love it.
As for Rare. Well, good
luck to them. They gave us Nintendo fans some great games. I have a little
bitterness towards them, but it’s not at all their fault. It was basically a
mutual decision for Nintendo to let go, and for Rare to move on.

Trevor Replies:
No, cheats are for wimps.
Dan Replies: Not
until you learn to spell! We don’t do cheats.
There are plenty of sites for cheats, we aren’t one of them.

I am excited to learn that
Nintendo is now utilizing of great number of devlopers. Hooray!
Trevor Replies:
I feel the same way Nintendo is finally opening
their eyes to other developers and realizing the world doesn’t revolve around
Rare.
Dan Replies:
Exactly. The more games,
the better. Quite simple, and Nintendo seems to be getting it.
Disgruntledworm writes:
I have a suggestion. On all the
screen shots that you have, you should make it open a new window, and then have
next and previous buttons. That way I don't have to use my back button and it
will be easier to be lazy.
Trevor Replies:
I am lazy to that’s why I have them loading in
main window in the first place.
Dan Replies:
yeah, that’s a bad-ass idea. But I haven’t the patience to set that all up.
I’ll make Trevor do it sometime.

Just though I would drop a line
and say your site is coming along really nicely and I'm liking your banners.
Nice work. Go the Alliance and Nintopia. By the way, what does that topia
actually mean. I have heard it from Dinotopia but dont know what it means
excatly.
Trevor Replies:
All this positive feedback makes me feel a warm and gushy
inside (not really though) Thanks for the compliment. What does topia mean I am
not sure but I think it means a place happiness or something. Dan is the
mastermind behind the incredibley sexy name .
Dan Replies:
Thanks,
I think the banners are looking great too, there shall be more soon.
As for the name, well, I’m pretty sure “topia”
by itself doesn’t mean anything, but it is taken from the word “Utopia” which
basically means “An ideally perfect
place”. So we stuck a “Nin” in front of
it. All the cool sites are doing that, like “Nintendorks” and “Nintensity” I
think it’s a bit more original and creative to do such a thing.
