I had the sheer delight of heading into my favourite record store and picking up the new Pearl Jam album, titled simply “Pearl Jam”

Its been playing pretty much non-stop since I picked up and I can honestly say its some of their best work. The first single that hit the radio “World Wide Suicide” immediately drew me in, one of their best songs.

I remember Vedder a while back saying something along the lines “Its their hardest or heaviest album they’ve ever put out” and I would have to agree with him. Maybe that’s part of the reason why I love it so much. There are no really slow tunes either, ok maybe “Parachutes” but the rest is all heavy guitar driven goodness, from the opening riff on “Time Wasted” to the closing riff on “Inside Job”

I also had the pleasure of seeing them live last year, awesome show, awesome band, and awesome album. Give it a listen its rock music at its best.
