Satoru Iwata GDC keynote summary

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata graced the Game Developer Conference this morning and delivered a keynote speech, and as you’ll see, dropped some very big information on the DS, Revolution and the new Zelda title.
A brief summary:
DS
- Nintendo is set to offer a Wi-Fi service in order to allow gamers to play DS games online
- Several games will be released that will take advantage of this feature, inlcluding Animal Crossing DS which is being developed as an online central game, and Mario Kart DS, which will support eight players.
- The service is expected to free and should become available as online enabled games are released later this year
Revolution
- The revolution will feature backwards compatibility with all GameCube games.
- IBM is producing the CPU and it is codenamed “Broadway”
- ATI is again developing the GPU (graphics) codenamed “Hollywood”
- Will be Wi-Fi compatible out of the box allowing for wireless online play (which should be free)
- The system is progressing as planned and Iwata was one again quick to point out that it will indeed, change the way we play games.
